Starwood Hotels Profit Falls on Slowing U.S. Travel (Update2) (Bloomberg.com)
July 24 (Bloomberg) -- Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. , the third-largest U.S. lodging company, said second- quarter profit fell 28 percent because of slowing U.S. revenue and lower timeshare sales.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. reported a better-than-expected 16.4 percent drop in second-quarter profit Thursday, although the stock fell after Starwood cut its full-year outlook, citing a weakening U.S. market.
